About the role
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a range of Information Technology and technology projects that improve services for university students and staff. The position involves coordinating resources, maintaining schedules, and working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery, while also contributing to effective planning, cost management, and continuous improvement of project processes. The position reports to the Senior Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve demand and delivery processes, including workflows, JIRA service management, and prioritisation.
- Support Project Managers across the full lifecycle with templates, tools, and best practices to ensure consistency.
- Coordinate communication across cross-functional teams to support effective delivery.
- Monitor and report on portfolio progress, identifying and escalating risks and issues early.
- Enhance processes for reporting, proposals, and presentations to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Degree-qualified with relevant professional experience, or equivalent extensive experience and specialist expertise in technical or administrative fields.
- Proven track record supporting enterprise-level technology projects and programs.
- Strong expertise in risk management, issue resolution, resource allocation, and task prioritisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex workloads through a combination of experience, education, and/or training.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse, distributed teams at all levels.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability, including experience working with C-suite executives.
- Solid understanding of the project management lifecycle, with the ability to interpret and work with project schedules.
- Adaptable and responsive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Proficient in managing risks, actions, issues, and decisions across projects.
- Experience using JIRA or similar service management tools.
- Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
