What you’ll do

          Collaborate with senior and division leadership to identify skill/knowledge gaps and training needs that foster and advance learning and development (L&D) for the success of the organization’s operations

          Design and implement enterprise-wide learning and development strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices

          Evaluate, select, and manage external learning and development programs, including partnerships with training vendors, universities, and executive education providers, ensuring alignment with business needs and return on investment

          Oversee the creation and delivery of onboarding, leadership development, technical training, and career progression initiatives

          Perform due diligence to select the best training tools or training delivery mechanisms, based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted. May design, develop and/or implement organizational training policies and programs 

          Manage budgets and resources for employee development programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality outcomes

          Develop metrics and evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of internal and external training programs

          Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management

          Forecast the needs and develop training as needed to address specific learning outcomes

          Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) around meeting L&D program quality standards

          Develop and implement project management practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics to meet or exceed expected outcomes and goals of the organization

          Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the Human Resources Department in collaboration with senior management and the HR Vice Presidents/Business Partners

          In collaboration with senior management and the HR Vice Presidents/Business Partners, establishes career paths and KPIs for management and senior leadership roles in the organization

          Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations in adult learning, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and relevance

  • Lead a team of learning and development professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in evaluating and managing external education providers, including universities and executive education programs
  • Understanding the homebuilding industry, including finance, construction, sales, marketing, supply chain management, and land acquisition/development would be preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and program improvements
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong conceptual thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented; ability to meet deadlines
