What we offer

The Architecture Lead will provide strategic leadership and coordinate the technical architecture function within the Product Development Team (PDT). This role requires a licensed architect with stamping authority to serve as the Architect of Record and ensure compliance, constructability, design integrity, and innovation across all product development initiatives. The Architecture Lead will lead a multidisciplinary team of technical architects and act as the central point of integration between design, engineering and manufacturing processes, driving efficiency and consistency across architectural deliverables.

 

What you’ll do

  • Define and execute the architectural vision for product development, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Serve as the Architect of Record, providing professional seal/stamp on drawings and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and coach multidisciplinary technical architects.
  • Contribute to establishment of governance for design standards, quality assurance and risk management and ensure they are worked within.
  • Drive adoption of advanced technologies (BIM, digital twins, modular systems).
  • Champion continuous improvement and standardization of architectural practices.
  • Act as primary liaison with external consultants, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  • Oversee permitting and compliance processes at a corporate level.
  • Ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural, and MEP systems within product designs.
  • Collaborate with Design, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to maintain alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Review and approve architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • Apply building codes (Part 3 & Part 9) and internal quality standards to all deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes, leveraging BIM and advanced modeling tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Support development of “The Rule Book” for standardized design practices across PDT.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect in Ontario (OAA) with authority to stamp drawings.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in architecture or engineering leadership roles, ideally in residential or modular construction.
  • Proven track record in managing large, complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of building science, structural systems, and MEP integration.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, and building codes.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
