Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Brand Media, a role in the LegalZoom marketing organization to drive best-in-class brand media campaigns across video, audio, and social. They will manage the media agency to ensure our unique LegalZoom lens is incorporated in media plans, ensure proper quality assurances are in place for TV and digital buys, and will monitor performance and develop insights for our internal leadership team. Most importantly, They will iterate upon this plan through always-on testing and optimization of channel, audience, and creative in an effort to address critical business questions and establish foundational media principles. The ideal candidate will have experience with media planning and buying, digital fluency, and a solid understanding of metrics and KPIs. They will have a track record of leading cross-functionally to mobilize teams and influence senior stakeholders, and will report to the Director of Media.

You will

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Media to design consumer-first media planning and communications strategies and programs across media channels
  • Manage agency relationship on a day-to-day basis and across all paid media strategy and tactical plans to ensure there is quality control of buys, best-in-class opportunities are pursued, test & learns are enacted, and return on marketing spend is maximized
  • Harness a deep understanding of the LegalZoom consumer and business insights to write briefings and educate the media agency of the nuances of the business
  • Manage budgets with both the media agency and internal stakeholders across Finance and Analytics
  • Coordinate all specs and asset needs with advertising agency and internal creative team
  • Identify, establish, and implement media objectives and KPIs by channel that drive to holistic company goals
  • Facilitate an always-on testing discipline that establishes test roadmap, hypotheses, and actionable insights that lead to relentless campaign optimization and iteration
  • Monitor reporting and performance across media and business metrics to drive actionable insights and optimizations
  • Provide thought leadership on paid media to leadership teams and internal stakeholders through POVs, updates on the media landscape, and share outs of media performance
You have
  • 6+ years of data-driven marketing experience (e.g. e-commerce, gaming, food delivery), either in-house or agency
  • Motivated self-starter with spirit of inquiry, curiosity, and entrepreneurship who’s comfortable with operating in the grey
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail, comfortable presenting to executives and partners, and ability to tailor altitude and talk tracks based on the audience
  • Proven track record of leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams on initiatives
  • Fluent in offline and digital media math, and a familiarity with attribution models and media measurement philosophies
  • Ability to analyze business data trends to inform decisions that will fuel company growth
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Strength in storytelling, particularly in Powerpoint presentations

For onsite roles or roles that require periodic onsite visits, LegalZoom requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
