Overview

LegalZoom.com is seeking a Director, Business Finance (Revenue) to join our Finance team. The highly visible position will have the responsibility of supporting department leaders, build financial models, and identifying and driving key growth initiatives. The optimal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and superb critical thinking abilities to collaborate with teams across our organization and foster data-driven decision-making. The Director, Business Finance will report to the VP of Business Finance.

You will

  • Lead the team acting as the primary finance partners for the Marketing & Acquisition organization, providing in-depth and insightful financial and analytical support to senior and executive leaders
  • Identify and communicate key revenue growth opportunities and deliver compelling analysis and insightful presentations to support growth initiatives 
  • Work in tandem with the Corporate Finance organization to deliver annual, quarterly and monthly financial plans and support the ongoing evolution of the budgeting and planning process
  • Provide thought leadership to drive continuous improvement, simplify existing processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions
  • Continue building and developing a best-in-class team

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in Finance or Analytics positions
  • An effective leader capable of scoping and driving large and complex cross-functional initiatives, developing compelling analysis, and preparing insightful presentations
  • Proven ability to set clear priorities, manage multiple simultaneous deliverables to tight deadlines, and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment
  • An excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with all levels of the organization
  • Deep experience with various financial and analytical applications (Planful, Oracle, Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • An experienced people leader having successfully managed a team of four or more, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing talent at all levels 

For onsite roles or roles that require periodic onsite visits, LegalZoom requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
