Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

This position will be Remote.

Overview

You will play a lead role on the team responsible for aligning business teams on process, measurement, and reporting to support business growth. You will do this through a combination of excellent communication, management reporting, subscription and revenue analytics, data management, process design and optimization, mentoring and coaching team members, and by developing expertise in both company and third-party data systems. This role requires an excellent understanding of revenue cycle, business operations, and business intelligence.

We are looking for a maximizer and an arranger who is very good at improving existing mechanisms and processes in addition to designing new ones. You are both a strategic leader and strong individual contributor with a can-do attitude. You’re naturally curious and have a passion for learning. You enjoy mentoring and teaching others with lesser experience new skills and techniques. You aim to align your day-to-day work to the strategic objectives of your company and department. You’re technically adept, particularly when it comes to data systems, data analyses, and data visualization.

You will

  • Manage day-to-day team operations, including but not limited to intaking new projects, prioritization and assignment of work, progress check-ins with analysts, defining and administering internal processes, leading team meetings, and coaching team members.
  • Work with sales, marketing, customer success, finance, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure accountability to revenue.
  • Oversee the development of key performance metrics, data pipelines, reports, and analyses
  • Lead the development of most complex and highest priority reporting and analytics projects using SQL, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Collaborate with Finance to prepare and stage data for weekly and monthly business reviews with leadership team
  • Documentation including but not limited to memos, technical specs, emails, research papers, COE’s, and knowledge base articles
  • Other Responsibilities: (additional, supplemental, routine daily duties that are assigned to this role but are not necessarily an essential function of the job)
  • Support senior management in the continual development of the Revenue Operations program
  • Work with senior management to influence and impact business outcomes
  • Other Revenue Operations duties as assigned

You have

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Science, or Mathematics
  • 6+ years professional experience as a data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, or equivalent role
  • 2+ years working on a business, revenue, sales, or marketing operations team
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Expert proficiency with SQL in a major relational database system(s)
  • Expert proficiency with a data visualization tool(s)
  • Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Experience with a data engineering/ETL platform or code-based solution
  • Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Talend, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using HubSpot as a marketing and sales automation tool and experience with a subscription billing platform, like Chargify preferred
  • Knowledge of SaaS Finance, Basic Accounting and/or Finance principles preferred
  • Experience with Python, specifically Pandas preferred but not required.

For onsite roles or roles that require periodic onsite visits, LegalZoom requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
