Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the Production team, the Senior Production Manger will lead a team of supervisors and operators in the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices for the Salt Lake City site. This role has budgetary responsibility for production for the Salt Lake City operation. In this position you will lead the implementation of local & corporate safety programs, demand quality as a non-negotiable, drive a culture of continuous improvement with proven lean approaches, as well as having tertiary leadership of support functions as activities occur supporting production.

 

About the Role:

  • Leads production staff by creating a safe work environment, collaborates across job functions managing processing issues. 
  • Develops KPI for area of responsibility, provides coaching to direct reports to ensure understanding. Identifies development opportunities related to inefficiencies for succession preparation. 
  • Work with production planners to set production schedules and output targets. 
  • Closely follow quality procedures, assist in implementing quality controls, and communicate quality issues.
  • Drives all continuous improvement processes at a shop-floor level using proven tools and methodologies, including lean operational culture, safety improvement events, quality requirements. Fosters a culture that promotes continuous improvement of people and processes.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum eight (8) years' management experience preferably in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industry.  
  • Experience with Lean culture and demonstrated experience leading lean events and activities. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, data analysis and data driven problem solving, ability to delegate and adapt to changing priorities required.
