- Warehouse Management
- Champions a team culture that reflects the Kal Tire AIMS; sets an example with safety, accuracy, service quality, and profitable growth.
- Develops annual operating and capital budgets for the warehouse.
- Ensures a positive and rewarding work environment to attract and retain high caliber, motivated employees.
- Supports store sales activity by ensuring that products are received and handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures compliance with all Kal Tire warehouse processes and procedures.
- Establishes and implements SOPs while maintaining training standards.
- Provides leadership for our wholesale business in Moncton, which has independent service delivery and customer satisfaction strategies.
- Monitors staffing levels, ensuring appropriate staffing to productivity ratios.
- Manages inventory by ensuring cycle counts are completed, reconciled, and adjusted.
- Maintains equipment and security of inventory.
- Ensures safety compliance within the Warehouse; conducts monthly audits and regular reviews; including reporting compliance.
- Reviews Warehouse financial reports such as P&L, GL transaction summary, accounts payable and asset management.
- Sets goals and conduct performance reviews with direct reports
- Recruits and onboards new Team Members, participating in training programs and tracking training initiatives
- Mentors high potential team members, moving through the certification process.
- Leads by example and providing regular coaching and mentoring sessions.
- 3-5 years of experience managing a warehouse, manufacturing plant or large team within an operations environment with a record of achieving key performance targets.
- Experience leading safety initiatives.
- Experience managing high volumes of inventory and an understanding of the link between inventory, customer service and profitability.
- Experience recruiting and retaining high preforming teams.
- Experience with performance management; including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and coaching to achieve targets.
- Liaise between multiple departments including Warehouse, Kal Transport, Retread Facilities, Total Tire, and Kal Tire Stores.
- Skilled at proactively serving customers and building relationships.
- Has implemented and worked with a warehouse management system or related technology.
- Demonstrated competence to deliver logistics support on a day-to-day basis.
- Able to deliver effective results, meeting tight deadlines and targets under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Lean Six Sigma, considered an asset.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to relocate across Canada, preferred.
