The mission of JRI Health is to advance the health and justice we all deserve.  A division of Justice Resource Institute, JRI Health provides a range of services aimed at eliminating health disparities related to HIV, hep C, homelessness, substance use and mental health. 

Who we’re looking for

You are an experienced leader in public health and/or social services with a proven track record of advancing issues of social justice.  You are an effective communicator, and an effective manager who works collaboratively with a broad range of constituents.  You have a deep commitment to racial justice, and health equity and have developed programs aligned with these values.  You are a strategic thinker who can make aspirational visions a reality.  You are committed to LGBTQ+ health and the range of identities associated with it. 

What You’ll Do

• Create and manage programs at multiple sites aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing health risks associated with HIV, hep C, substance use, and homelessness. 
• Lead a team of innovative Program Directors in the design and management of programs aimed at addressing critical community needs to underserved individuals and groups.
• Build effective partnerships with community agencies, public officials and other community members to advance the mission.
• Facilitate the division’s strategic vision and its implementation.
• Advocate for public resources and legislation that supports the communities we serve.
• Oversee administrative functions and integration with JRI’s corporate systems including human resources, fiscal management, quality management and information technology.
• Build an organizational culture that promotes professional development, ongoing quality improvement and is rooted in sound practices of diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Ensure that programs are driven by data, evaluation, stakeholder input and the communities most impacted by programming. 
• Represent JRI Health in the community

What You Need

• A proven track record of leading programs and organizations committed to health equity and providing services to marginalized communities.
• Working knowledge of harm reduction, health equity and systems of oppression as well as the ability to apply best practices in these areas.
• Prior experience negotiating and managing government contracts.
• Extraordinary communication skills and the ability to build a strong, cohesive team. 
• A Master’s Degree in social work, public health, or counseling is preferred.  Substantial work experience may be substituted for education.
• Prior supervisory experience working with a diverse employee population. 
• Prior budget and project management experience in a complex, fast-paced work environment.
