What Our Interns Are Saying About JRI

I think of my internship experience with JRI as a pivotal part of my social work education and my application of theories into practice. JRI provided me with access to various clinical experiences working with children, families, and groups, numerous training and learning opportunities, and an outpouring of support and supervision from my colleagues and supervisors. The staff here and my supervisor, Michelle, made me so feel welcomed as part of their team, supported me through every clinical challenge, and valued my clinical observations, ideas, and contributions as an intern. The collaborative nature, the energy of our team and office, the support I received from all staff members and supervisors, and the fulfilling work I get to engage in with the clients and families we serve here at JRI made it an easy decision for me when JRI offered me a position to stay on the team after my internship was completed. JRI not only granted me an invaluable internship experience, it offered me an environment to jumpstart my career and to cultivate the values that are most important to me as a social worker.
