Responsibilities and Expectations: 

A successful candidate in this role will work within the payroll team focusing on bi-weekly payroll processing payroll for multiple locations across the US.  This candidate will work independently on many tasks while also working with the team to successfully support all payroll related functions at assigned facilities.

 

  • Possess strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll process.
  • Perform payroll-related functions including tax changes, wage garnishments, benefit deduction changes.
  • Review and verify payroll data in a timely manner.
  • Ensure efficient, accurate and timely delivery of multistate payroll processing.
  • Oversee maintenance of payroll records and files.
  • Create custom reports using ADP custom reporting system and run ad-hoc reports.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Review and maintain standard payroll reports.
  • Prepare Federal / State child support, tax levy, and wage garnishment responses.
  • Review various pay calculations and identify compliance concerns.
  • Assist with quarter and year end processes.
  • Enter 3rd party sick pay transactions.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries.
  • Process bonus, adjustment, and out of sequence payrolls as needed.
  • Ensure tax and payroll compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Support all payroll-related functions at each facility
  • Support special projects as needed.

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • FPC or CPP Designation preferred.
  • Perform duties under general supervision.
  • Have expanded understanding of wage and hour requirements.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflows.
  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the “why”.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to proactively identify and develop effective solutions.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trustworthiness and credibility, and act with complete integrity.
  • Experience processing payroll, multi-state experience preferred.
