The opportunity

We are looking for a professional, self-motivated, Senior DevOps engineer to join our Cloud-Native Web Application Firewall (WAF) in a leading and innovative environment.

The role includes leading and researching the latest developments in the DevOps market. Managing the infrastructure supporting the Cloud-Native WAAP solution and refining the deployment of Imperva’s components on top of the customer’s K8s infrastructure. Automating processes, and working closely with other teams to bring the next big Cloud-Native WAAP solution to the market.



  • Work on the next generation of Containerized WAF solution
  • Integrate the solution with the leading cloud providers
  • Meet with potential business partners and customers and define the solution
  • Be part of the leading group that’s pushing the product forward
  • Research competitor's solution and analyze the value proposition
  • Work directly with the development groups from the Management and Real-Time Protection world
  • Build automated infrastructure provisioning frameworks and test them 
  • Design and implement CI/CD solutions for the teams
  • Document and design various processes
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery & deployment


  • At least 7 years of DevOps experience
  • At least 3 years as DevOps Tech Lead
  • At least 4 years of working with Kubernetes in production (Kops/ EKS/ ECS/  experience preferred)
  • At least 4 years of working with AWS or GCP cloud 
  • Experience working with API gateways and service meshes (Istio/LinkerD) 
  • Proven experience building projects & architectures from scratch
  • Experience writing Terraform modules (Usage of Terragrunt is an advantage)
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins (Groovy/Jenkins preferred)
  • Experience writing code in Python and Bash (Proven experience with Python is an advantage)
  • Networking knowledge
  • Experience with ELK and Prometheus & Grafana - advantage
  • Familiar with configuration management platforms like Ansible - advantage.
  • Familiar with monitoring systems like Prometheus, DataDog, Splunk, Nagios and Zabbix - advantage.
  • Degree in computer science or similar - advantage.
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated, good at working both independently and as part of a team.
