The Market Development Intern at GS1 US is a critical supporting role focused on managing an extensive portfolio of strategic channel and solution partners. This position emphasizes strategies to enhance the adoption and use of GS1 Standards and solutions. This role entails being a primary point of contact to the GS1 US community. Primary activity includes advocating the GS1 purpose and how global GS1 Standards solve industry challenges. You will help deliver growth through engaging targeted industry organizations for networking and collaboration.
The Market Development Intern will support the development of customers and partners, employing a service-level approach to solution-driven sales and customer on-boarding. Additionally, this position actively contributes to our Market Development strategy by identifying and delivering innovative solutions tailored to meet our customers' evolving needs, thereby fostering the broader adoption of GS1 Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project management responsibilities - coordinating across teams - organization communication, etc.
Coordination responsibilities with marketing on communication/presentation needs.
Assist in creating strategies for reaching and growing within specific market segments
Develop and collaborate on selling guides and internal sales tools
Provide support for customer presentations, training materials and application guides
Identify and research potential customers, partners, and business opportunities to build a strong prospect list.
Initiate outbound communication to drive lead generation through email, and social media to generate interest.
Collaborate with internal teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to business development.
Prepare regular reports and updates on business development activities and progress to the management team.
Prepare our teams for success at industry events.
Education and/or Experience: Must have completed second year of a collegiate program.
Travel requirements: This position could travel up to 5%
