Position at FloForm Countertops

Required immediately, our Local Abbotsford Branch is seeking a Full Time Machine Operator - 4x10 hour shifts Mon - Thu 5:30am - 4pm.

Desired Skills & Experience

    • Some experience operating production equipment, preferably CNC machinery
    • Accurate measuring skills, using a tape measure and calipers
    • Ability to read technical drawings for size and profile information
    • Experience with forklifts or overhead cranes an asset, but not required
    • Good physical condition

    Duties & Responsibilities: 

    • Safe and efficient operation of CNC machinery
    • Sets-up stock to be machined using laser guides for placement of product
    • Loads machines by lifting stock into position using mechanical lifters
    • Verifies settings by measuring positions; adhering to set standards
    • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
    • Maintains workstation in a clean and orderly manner
    • Observes and adhere to all safety procedures while on the production floor
    • Participates in cross training when asked
    • Covers other positions as required to maintain production flow
    • Monthly inventory counts
    • Other duties as assigned
