Required immediately, our local Winnipeg Branch is seeking a Full Time PURCHASING/INVENTORY COORDINATOR. 

FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 17 Showrooms and 8 fabricating facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. POSITION SUMMARY 

 Plans, organizes, and directs the purchasing activities; establishes policies and procedures for the buying of supplies, materials, equipment, and services; oversees mail and courier functions; and performs related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

 2 – 3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
  Familiarity and knowledge of laminate product an asset
  Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products and ability to learn                      other software programs
  Ability to solve problems as they arise
  Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
  Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and respect
  Effective communication and negotiation skills
  Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail
  Basic mathematical skills
  Must able to sit for extended periods of time  
DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS
•  Effectively manages and maintains appropriate inventory levels to maintain production
  Conducts regular inventories, maintains records and provides reports as required
  Aids in development/purchasing policies and procedures of laminate product
  Creates, prints and issues purchase orders from laminate 
  Assigns completion dates to production orders
  Interprets and applies policies pertaining to procurement of laminate product
  Manages all laminate claims and warranties and ensures quality control standards are met
  Assists internal staff with questions related to laminate products purchased or availability                      of laminate product
  Investigates and resolves internal complaints on laminate product quality
 Responds to inquiries from dealers, suppliers, sales staff, production staff, finance, etc.
  Evaluates vendor performance
  Corresponds with vendors and departments
  Files POs, pick tickets, adjustments, reports, etc.
  Other duties as assigned
