Intern Position Summary:

EVgo is looking for a Grid Integration intern for the 2023 summer internship season to help scale and define process within our growing outreach to utilities throughout the nation.  Success is in this role will require the ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, meticulous organization skills and excellent communication.  This role requires someone who is a self-starter and able to work across departments and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Grid Integration Managers and Engineers during site walks to ensure documents have been uploaded within 48 hours
  • Ensure notes and updates from Utility integration Contractors are updated on a weekly basis
  • Conduct research with EVgo Program Delivery project managers and contractors during utility challenges for presenting to EVgo leadership teams for further discussion
  • Document current process and make meaningful suggestions for process improvements
  • Send legal contracts from utilities to EVgo legal team for review
  • Verifying meter address for account setup after EVgo commissioning is completed
  • Create documentation for communication with utilities for 2023 and beyond on future build-out plans

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Rising junior or senior undergraduate (or commensurate experience) preferably in an engineering discipline
  • Demonstrate interest in climate science, clean technology, electric vehicles, or the energy industry
  • Strong quantitative skills and able to conduct analysis and draw key insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, various Adobe products and Microsoft Suite
  • Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with clients, peers, management, and other departments
  • Position is 100% remote

Interns are required to provide documentation of COVID 19 vaccination.

For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated hourly rate for this position is $18.00 USD to $21.00 USD.
