About EVgo
EVgo (Nasdaq: EVGO) is one of the largest public fast charging networks for electric vehicles and the first to be powered by 100% renewable energy. Our mission is to speed mass adoption of electric vehicles by creating a convenient, reliable, and affordable EV charging network that delivers fast charging to everyone. EVgo’s owned and operated charging network is growing rapidly, and we’re working to triple our network size by 2025. Software is an integral part of realizing this vision and we are hiring a software manager to play a leadership role in shaping our future.
Position Summary:
In addition to our core electric vehicle charging network, we run a community-driven product, PlugShare, to help consumers find charging for their electric vehicles. This means greenfield development with many long-reaching technical decisions. We are looking for a demonstrated leader with the capacity to own a complex goal: making decisions about features to build, experiments to run, and hypotheses to test. This is a role for a leader who can inspire others, empowering engineers to deliver the best work possible.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable experience in software engineering roles
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, Python
- Experience with Kubernetes micro-service development
- Demonstrated people management experience with a track record of delivering results
- Exemplary communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices
- Experience hiring and retaining top engineering talent
- A passion for people management and mentorship
