Description

We are looking for Senior Agile Consultants to drive consulting engagements with Fortune 500 clients across a range of industries.  These engagements are often related to large-scale Agile Transformations but may also begin with program-level Agile Enablement initiatives.  Our senior consultants are collaborative self-starters, able to work with EPMA leadership to define and execute engagement strategies, build client relationships for long term partnerships, and support business development efforts. 

All Senior Agile Consultants at EPMA have the opportunity for growth into senior management, based on demonstrated capabilities in delivering results in the above areas, effective management of teams, and demonstration of a Client-focused strategic mindset. With that in mind, the role is best suited for very entrepreneurial individuals who are results-driven and want to take a leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to deliver challenging consulting engagements with cross-functional teams; Able to proactively identify and solve issues that may negatively impact a project or project deliverables.
  • Proven analytical problem solver, with the ability to streamline processes and integrate/analyze data from various sources, using business frameworks and technical skills to develop practical solutions for Clients.
  • Focused experience in classic consulting frameworks in business process re-engineering, problem identification and solution development, and in training /mentoring / coaching / up-skilling project teams.
  • Demonstrated success in combining a range of skills and industry best practices to complete complex projects on-time and on-budget, and effectively dealing with classic program planning & execution challenges.  Specific technical experience should include:
    • Use of Agile program delivery and enablement tools, such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, VersionOne, etc
    • Ability to work with clients on work decomposition and backlog development/refinement
    • Ability to define and utilize Agile program enablement metrics and performance indicators to drive decision-making and behavior change
  • Effective in influencing and leading in Client engagements and matrix environments, with strong stakeholder management skills.  Excellent client/customer interaction and communication skills, with strong Organizational Change Management capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment to manage rapid change, short lead times, and multiple competing priorities.

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as Engineering, Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, MBA or similar Master’s degree is desirable
  • 7+ years of project and portfolio management experience within consulting organizations, with a strong understanding of Agile principals and methods
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years within a consultant role at a major consulting company
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Agile program delivery & enablement tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, VersionOne
  • SAFe (or equivalent) certified, preferably as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer
  • Experience leading or actively participating in Agile ceremonies, such as PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, and/or Retrospectives
  • Experience with solution design principles and leading clients through process and technology alternatives analyses
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience running client workshops
  • Practical experience in Organizational Change Management, with ability to conduct stakeholder impact assessments and prepare mitigation plans to drive business engagement and solution adoption
  • Strong experience working with client management as a trusted advisor and influencer
  • Excellent communicator and presenter – will be required to present at conferences, webinars and training sessions
  • Must be open to up to 50% travel
