Outpatient Pharmacist job in JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX
About the Role
We are hiring Outpatient Pharmacists to support high-volume ambulatory pharmacy operations across BAMC outpatient sites.
What You’ll Do
- Process and verify outpatient prescriptions
- Provide patient counseling on medication use
- Identify and resolve drug interactions, duplications, and allergies
- Coordinate with prescribers on dosing and therapy questions
- Perform medication reconciliation
- Support Code Blue response when assigned
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (ACPE-accredited)
- Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license (any U.S. state)
- Minimum 1 year outpatient pharmacy experience within the last 2 years
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHA credentialing
- BLS certification
- Experience in high-volume outpatient or military treatment facilities preferred
