Federal Staffing Resources (FSR) partners with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) program to ensure Veterans receive the medications they rely on. As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a vital role in processing and dispensing high-volume mail-order prescriptions with accuracy, safety, and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Fulfillment: Process, fill, and dispense large volumes of prescriptions through the VA’s mail-order pharmacy program.
- Automation & Technology: Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems (Autofill, Baker Cells, A-Frames).
- Medication Handling: Accurately locate, package, and label medications for shipment to Veterans nationwide.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock, rotate inventory, and ensure all medications meet storage and expiration standards.
- Data Entry & Quality Control: Use pharmacy software and barcode scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
- Previous experience in retail, mail-order, or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Computer literacy and comfort working with automated equipment.
- U.S. citizen or legal resident.
