Pay: $45–$50 per hour
Contract: 13 Week Renewable Contract

Federal Staffing Resources is seeking experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurses (Psych RNs) to support inpatient behavioral health services at New Hampshire Hospital, the state’s primary psychiatric hospital located in Concord, NH. Psychiatric nurses in this role will work in a secure inpatient treatment environment, providing direct patient care, crisis stabilization, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team.

  • Shift Opportunities:
    • First Shift 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
    • Second Shift 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM
    • Third Shift 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Psychiatric RN Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric and physical patient assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized behavioral health care plans
  • Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patient response
  • Provide therapeutic communication and crisis intervention
  • Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Delegate and supervise LPNs and CNAs when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and HIPAA regulations
  • Testify in commitment hearings when required
Important: This position requires direct inpatient psychiatric nursing experience. Home health psychiatric experience does not meet this requirement.
 
Psychiatric RN Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
    or compact RN license eligible for NH practice
  • Minimum two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • No pending or prior disciplinary action on RN licensure
  • Experience working in acute psychiatric or behavioral health facilities
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Ability to pass State of New Hampshire background screening
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
