Optometry Technician
Description
Openings for Optometry Technicians to conduct vision screening and testing for military personnel. Support soldier readiness by ensuring proper vision assessment for deployment.
Duties
- Conduct initial patient interviews for visual history
- Administer various visual tests for preliminary data
- Set up diagnostic equipment properly
- Process 10-12 patients per hour
- Document all test results accurately
- Report unusual findings to optometrist or supervisor
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Complete encounters in electronic health record
Requirements
- Education: Certificate from optometry technician course OR military optometry technician training
- BLS: Current certification (in-person training)
- Experience: 1+ year as optometry technician within last 2 years
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen

- Location: Fort Bliss SRPC
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Patient Volume: High-volume screening
