Physician Assistant - Soldier Readiness Processing
Description
Dynamic opportunity for Physician Assistants to support military readiness operations at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Work directly with service members ensuring medical readiness for global deployment.
Primary Duties
- Perform medical examinations for MOB/DEMOB processing
- Review health risk appraisals and deployment health assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute conditions within scope of practice
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic testing
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and timely
Required Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree from ARC-PA accredited program
- Certification: Current NCCPA certification
- License: Current PA license (any U.S. jurisdiction)
- Certifications: BLS certification, NPI number
- Experience: 1+ year as full-time PA in primary care within last 2 years
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required
Position Details
- Location: Fort Bliss Soldier Readiness Processing Center
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 5:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Patient Volume: 4-6 patients per hour average
- Contract: 6-month base + up to 4 years options
