Are you ready to make a meaningful impact while growing your career in a supportive, innovative environment? EPCOR is looking for a motivated Accountant I to join our dynamic team that manages the financial heartbeat of our business — capital assets.
In this role, you’ll be at the center of financial operations, ensuring the integrity of our capital asset reporting and compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards. You’ll collaborate across departments, contribute to strategic financial decisions, and help shape the future of our infrastructure investments.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and manage capital additions, adjustments, and retirements in Oracle.
- Prepare and maintain construction work-in-progress reports, tracking project activity.
- Manage developer-contributed assets and associated funding to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support refund processing for contributed asset agreements (AIAC).
- Participate in monthly close processes, including capitalized interest, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Analyze and report depreciation expenses monthly.
- Prepare audit documentation and support regulatory reporting.
- Contribute to special projects that drive innovation and efficiency.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus).
- One year of finance experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing capital asset data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a drive to learn and grow.
