Position at Dynacare

Dynacare is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Chemistry team in London, Ontario. This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

 This role includes performing a combination of manual and automated testing in a specialized chemistry laboratory environment, using advanced technologies.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures
  • Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, calibrating assays and equipment, and performing maintenance on laboratory equipment
  • Performing complex manual and semi automated chemistry procedures
  • Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy of documentation
  • Troubleshooting of clinical assays and equipment

 Must have:

  • CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently, apply sound decision making principles, and self-manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills required to succeed in a collaborative working environment.
  • Job or internship experience working in a Clinical Chemistry laboratory

 Nice to have:

  • Experience with and knowledge of HPLC, LCMSMS, ICPMS, RIA, ELISA methods and instrumentation
