JOB SUMMARY

 

Parts Clerk receives and processes incoming stock and materials, pick and fill orders from stock, pack and ship orders, or manage, organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse. This position ensures accuracy and timeliness of all the following job functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Maintain inventory of loaners and rental equipment
  • Identify damage, shortage or surplus
  • Fulfill sale, transfer and Inter-Territorial (ITT) orders
  • Prepare shipping documents as Bill of Lading (BOL), labels & packing slips
  • Palletize, band and shrink wrap items for ship outs
  • Schedule pickups through commercial carries, UPS and FedEx  
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
  • Request quotes, provide BOL and schedule pickups for other DEX branches
  • Monitor and assign serial numbers to Machine Request & Installation Forms (MRF) and track back orders
  • Load DEX trucks and store them in the designated location at the end of the day
  • Clean and organize warehouse
  • Off load freights from commercial trucks using a forklift and/or pallet jack
  • Adheres to all safety precautions and follow all safety requirements to properly complete job tasks
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

 

  • Typically reports to: Parts Manager, Service Manager
  • Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management)

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; Inventory software (e-automated system)
  • Completes additional tasks and assignments as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 0-3 years related experience and/or training

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required during peak periods
  • Travel requirements: 0%
  • Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours
