JOB SUMMARY

 

Logistics Associate I will be responsible for pulling equipment to unbox for sales orders and accurately and timely recording serial numbers on picking ticket utilizing handheld electronic scanners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

          Read picking sales orders form with bin locations and quantity on hand and report any shortages to your team lead

          Pull equipment to unbox for orders using a pallet jack or power forklift

          Complete warehouse pick ticket with serial numbers and ensuring all serial numbers match

          Check for concealed damage before any boxes are trashed, if damaged we need the original box to issue RA

          Move unboxed items to staging and set-up

          Clean up any trash left over from the unit and keep your work area clean at all times

          Hand order over to Logistic Associate II for data entry

          Loading and unloading trucks

          Adheres to all safety precautions and follow all safety requirements to properly complete job tasks.

          Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

 

          Typically reports to: Regional Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager  

          Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

 

          Good oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization, vendors and customers

          Fork Truck experience or be able to be certified in 90days

          Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

          Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs independently or greater weights via team lift or lift assist equipment.

          Good organizational and time management skills

          Familiarity with best warehouse practices

          Basic computer skills

          Ability to complete basic math operations

          Ability to read and comprehend written procedures, write routine documents

          Ability to understand and execute multi-step oral and written instructions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Warehouse Experience strongly preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

          Regular business hours, some additional hours may be required

          Travel requirements: Domestic: Up to 5%

          Ambient temperature warehouse or climate controlled office environment during normal business hours

          Must be able to work in inclement weather as needed
