About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Program Manager to oversee and drive the cultural and communications initiatives within our Engineering department. This role will focus on enhancing the overall culture, improving internal communications, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

What You Will Do:

Culture Development:

  • Design, implement, and manage programs that promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture within the Engineering department.
  • Manage and help organize team-building activities, workshops, and events to enhance employee engagement and morale.
  • Develop and promote initiatives that recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions.

Internal Communications:

  • Create and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy to ensure consistent and effective communication across the Engineering department.
  • Manage internal newsletters, emails, All Hands, Town Halls and other communication channels to keep the team informed about company updates, project milestones, and departmental news.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Engineering department and other departments to ensure clear and efficient communication.

Program Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute programs and projects from inception to completion.
  • Monitor the progress of programs and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques to track and report on program performance and outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the Engineering leadership and PBP team to align cultural and communication programs with overall company goals and values.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Engineering leadership on matters related to culture and internal communications.
  • Gather feedback from employees and stakeholders to continuously improve and refine programs and initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze data related to employee engagement, program effectiveness, and communication metrics.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to Engineering leadership on the impact of cultural and communication initiatives.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for future programs.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, internal communications, or related roles, preferably within an engineering or technology environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and initiatives. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey messages to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and improving employee engagement.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $91,000 - $120,240, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
