Position Summary:

The Assistant Product Manager will help manage the travel, heating pads and oral care categories.
Working with all departments and divisions within the company, the Assistant Product Manager will help develop, maintain, and grow the categories through innovative product launches, sales driven communication and maintenance of the core lines. The position will assist the Director of Marketing in product development from concept to market as well as forecasting, P&L analysis, and marketing plan creation.

Along with product management, the Assistant Product Manager will coordinate with the sales team on existing products and new product launches and identify trends within the category. 

Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in addition to being adaptable and creative.

Responsibilities:

 

New Product/Project Management Coordination:

Design/Development

  • Assist Director of Marketing with all new product projects.
  • Assist with issuing documentation for new products and product updates.
  • Liaise with Hong Kong and China offices, factory and engineering regarding new products and project updates as needed (samples, control drawings, pricing, production schedules, etc.)
  • Liaise with Design/Engineering/Merchandising teams with concept requests, renderings, SLA samples, engineering performance and consumer testing.

 

Marketing/Sales/Logistical Support:

  • Coordinate & analyze research requests (product & data), competitive tracking, new technology and current market trends.
  • Assist in preparation for sales/customer meetings to present new products, current program changes, promotional programs.
  • Support Director of Marketing on PR and social media activities.
  • Assist with identifying potential influencers to promote products.
  • Support operational requests with information gathering and processing of necessary forms; i.e., Forecast Change Authorizations (FCA), processing of Cost Change Notices (CCN), Forecast Purchase Authorizations (FPA), Item masters in SAP system.
  • Coordinate sales samples requests with procurement team, Hong Kong and China offices/factory and Customer Service

 

Creative/Structural Design/PR/Web Support:

  • Act as creative advocate for the categories proactively providing recommendations to enhance the brand, packaging, and communication.
  • Coordinate creative and structural design requests (packaging, collateral, displays, POP, etc.)
  • Assist with PR, media and web requests as necessary.




 

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2-4 Years of Business/Marketing Experience
  • Project Management including New Product Development/Innovation, Packaging Design, P&Ls/Cost Review
  • Marketing including Influencer, social media and Digital experience.
  • Strong Communication & Collaboration Skills
  • Must be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 50% of time.
