ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved using RF guns to remove product from inventory for shipping.

 Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or by using hand truck, portable lifting device or industrial fork truck. 

 Loads materials into shipping containers and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

 Transports materials from loading dock to designated areas.

 Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.

 Stacks products on skids, weighs and shrink wraps skids for shipment for UPS, FED-X or truck shipment.

 Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

 QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 KNOWLEDGE

 High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus related work experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing environment with proven good work record and good attendance record.

 SKILLS

 Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and basic math skills.  Must be computer literate, MS Office preferred, in order to easily learn our SAP system.  Must be able to drive a forklift and be able to attain company’s forklift driver certification. 

 ABILITIES

 Must be able to use power and manual hand trucks and lifting devices.  Must observe OSHA and company safety standards in performance of duties at all times.

 Other Abilities

 Must be able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
