Position Summary:
The VP of Marketing Operations will be a key member of the Digital leadership team, responsible for leading Conair’s marketing operations and PMO function on a global scale. This role will have an exciting opportunity to establish a brand-new Marketing Operations capability for Conair.
 
This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding and experience in marketing operations, new products commercialization processes, creative / content production management, PMO, and MarTech capabilities. The key charter of this role is to ensure that our marketing operations efforts are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives to grow through innovation and eCommerce.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage eCommerce creative / content and marketing assets production at scale: 
    • Oversee end-to-end management of creative and content production for our digital marketing and eCommerce efforts, ensuring all digital assets are produced efficiently and by applying data-driven strategy and prioritization.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure that content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with global audiences.
  • Integrated Marketing Planning (IMP) Workstreams: 
    • Collaborate with Brands VP of Marketing to align marketing strategies and tactics with overall business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain a marketing operations strategy that supports the company's growth and revenue goals.
    • Drive the efficiency and effectiveness of IMP workstreams, including driving creative and marketing agencies consolidation and management.
    • Lead the development and enhancement of marketing capabilities across the organization, including training programs and process improvements.
    • Ensure that all IMP initiatives are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and contribute to overall business growth.
  • MarTech and Marketing Automation Capabilities Management: 
    • Oversee the enablement and utilization of MarTech / Marketing Automation platforms across the enterprise, ensuring they are leveraged effectively to support marketing and eCommerce objectives.
    • Collaborate with marketing, IT, sales, and other departments to ensure that MarTech capabilities are integrated and optimized for maximum impact.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of marketing innovation.
  • Lead Digital PMO Function: 
    • Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) with a focus on eCommerce and key digital strategic initiatives.
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration across the enterprise to support successful enablement of eCommerce capabilities and key strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborates with Brands Marketing leadership to determine priority initiatives for the organization.
    • Responsible for synthesizing feedback, insights, analytics, sources of growth, and strategic direction to create a prioritized plan to drive growth.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of marketing data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
    • Partner with our Global Analytics team to produce regular reports and interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign results with a focus on return on investment (ROI).
    • Derive insights and present findings to executive leadership and marketing functional leaders.
    • Build performance visibility into all parts of the marketing engine to surface actionable insights at the point of planning and execution.
  • Strategic Leadership: 
    • Act as a key strategic advisor to the CDTO, Sr. Marketing leaders, and other executive leaders, providing insights and recommendations on marketing operations.
    • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marketing operations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the marketing operations team.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing operations team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
    • Coaches team in performance/skills growth, career journey, and agile practices. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in marketing operations, with a focus on integrated marketing capabilities, digital production management, as well as MarTech / marketing automation implementation and utilization / adoption
  • Planning experience - strategic and tactical thinking (forward-looking vision, anticipation of future needs, understanding operational levers)
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, eCommerce, New Product Development/Commercialization, and project management methodologies
  • Ability to synthesize the needs of multiple key stakeholders.
  • Ability to build partnerships and establish trust & credibility across all levels.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale marketing operations for a global CPG or durable goods company with a focus in Digital / eCommerce.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence others to gain consensus & alignment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in situations where other parties may have opposing interests/objectives. Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely is essential.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills to set a clear direction.
  • Thrives under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance across diverse teams.

Environmental Factors:
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (20% if needed)
