Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist will manage all Supply Chain activities to support Supply Planning and Procurement function. The role will collaborate with all functions of the business to ensure supplier on-time delivery of products within requested lead time, at competitive cost and best quality. This position plays a critical role in continuous improvement and cost competitiveness initiatives to exceed business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data on supply chain operations and generate reports with analysis.
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to collect data for supplier score card with analysis to enhance supplier performance.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and follow up with suppliers and internal teams.
- Issue and manage purchase orders in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for PO price accuracy and pricing maintenance in SAP
- Investigate and resolve PO pricing and invoicing discrepancies with internal teams and supplier, including issue credit or debit memo to supplier.
- Support internal team on PO update and shipment expedite; track delivery of open orders, and support Supply Planning to resolve any issues.
- Coordinate with internal team and maintain supply related data in SAP.
- React quickly to resolve and escalate any supply chain issues that may impact supply.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, data analytics or related area
- Minimum 1-3 years of purchasing, planning or supply chain experience required.
- Proficient with SAP system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced training in Excel. Must be able to use pivot tables, pivot reporting, v-lookups, filters, etc.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with integrity and positive attitude.
- Strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
- Can deliver results in high-speed working environment.
Environmental Factors:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
- We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 3/days a week.
