As the Director, Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in translating Conair's strategic vision into a comprehensive people and organizational plan, specifically supporting our US Commercial Divisions.
Position Overview: In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to anticipate and define our organization's future talent needs, assess our readiness for future competition, and establish talent strategies to shape our investments in human capital. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this position encompasses both hands-on and strategic elements, offering expertise in talent management, organizational design, coaching and development, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for nurturing talent within the organization and will play a crucial role in implementing our strategic plan. You should be adept at inspiring others with your vision of the future and possess the analytical skills to align data with our overarching strategy. Additionally, your ability to adapt your approach to different situations and individuals is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Alignment: Understand the business strategies, emerging products, market shifts, and workforce changes to identify talent needs for the future.
- Talent Strategy: Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the right mix of talent that aligns with core business priorities and overall performance.
- Performance Management Ownership: Take the lead in owning the annual performance management process, ensuring the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy that encompasses goal setting, performance evaluations, feedback, and professional development plans for all employees, in alignment with Conair's business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Team Building: Partner with business leaders to cultivate engaged, high-performing teams.
- Employee Relations Leadership: Assume a central role in managing and owning employee relations within the organization, proactively identifying and addressing workplace issues, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, while promoting a culture of open communication, respect, and fairness among all employees.
- Organizational Health: Work with business units to create effective organizational structures, job designs, and leveling to enhance organizational well-being.
- Change Leadership: Lead organization changes within designated areas, providing strategic input on business direction, resource planning, and internal communications.
- Workforce Planning: Utilize internal and external data, trends, analytics, and insights to assess talent gaps, forecast resource needs, and model future scenarios for prioritizing talent risks and opportunities.
- Employee Experience: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and collaborate with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.
- Leadership Development: Advise, mentor, coach, and guide all levels of management to develop positive employee engagement capabilities and leadership skills.
- Culture Support: Uphold Conair's culture by modeling collaboration, operating with integrity, demonstrating a strong and innovative work ethic, practicing openness to learning and growth, flexibility, and kindness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organization Design and Development, Organizational Management, or similar, or comparable skills, certifications, or experience. HR Certification strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of talent strategy, HR, and/or organizational development experience, with experience supporting C-suite leaders on long-term, strategic talent initiatives within diverse organizational contexts being a significant plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of prior experience as a people manager.
- Strong business acumen, capable of linking HR and business strategy, and identifying ways to enhance business performance.
- Proficient at identifying and assessing current organizational capabilities, crafting and supporting culture, and aligning programs.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to anticipate challenges, see context, make quick connections, and act effectively.
- Proven ability to build relationships, quickly develop rapport, earn respect and trust, persuade others, and guide leaders to collaborate and act on decisions and recommendations.
- Experience leading organizational change with empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to tailor communication style, both verbally and in writing, to work effectively with partners at all levels in the organization and to influence and facilitate.
- Flexibility and adaptability within a changing organization, with the ability to pivot quickly to respond to emerging challenges or dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience in articulating the case for change, evaluating change readiness, building and implementing partner plans, transition activities, and leading sustained change and transition.
