Position Summary:

Cuisinart Outdoors is a small and fast-growing division of Conair based in Newton, MA. We focus on designing, developing and marketing quality products in the consumer home and lifestyle industries. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Sales Director that will have responsibility for the strategic direction, management, and execution of National Accounts. This position will report into our Senior Vice President of Sales. This person must be results-oriented with an emphasis on improving cross-functional processes.

Responsibilities include managing the relationship with National Accounts, facilitating short and long-term growth of our business in-store and online and optimizing our Sales Operations Manager whose primary responsibility is sales support.  

The Sales Director will partner with cross-functional groups to expand current business and develop new revenue opportunities across their account responsibility. This position will provide the highest level of service to the customer and internal leadership critical to ensure the execution and achievement of revenue and profit objectives for the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing, communicating, and implementing strategic business plans that maximize customer revenue, profitability, and service levels.
  • Emphasis will be on building market share, expanding distribution and implementing programs that will ensure our retail prominence at National Accounts
  • Oversee the development of our yearly budget plans and monthly forecasts for National Accounts
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the customer as well as their shopper.
  • Identify promotional opportunities to attain and exceed sales targets as well as gain share.
  • Interact with operations and finance teams to ensure the success of customer execution and attainment of financial and performance objectives.
  • Execute internal/external reporting and analysis of POS, trends, and other factors impacting the business to validate portfolio performance and unlock actionable objectives that foster growth and revenue attainment.
  • Sell, forecast, and execute with a general management perspective that aligns with and promotes corporate organizational growth.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of major account sales management or equivalent experience within buying and/or merchandising at retail with a background in the Housewares industry
  • Proven ability to lead, own and drive programs and processes.
  • Results oriented and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated data analysis, data metrics, shopper behavior, brand & competition
  • Must be completely PC proficient; able to develop his/her own visual presentations and spreadsheets.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, complimented by effective oral and written communication.
  • Experience Working with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range plans.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • Grilling Industry highly preferred
  • Position location is hybrid with the ability to work  in Newton, MA a plus.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
