Objective of the Position

The quality control inspector inspects and tests manufactured products to ensure they meet the company standards of product safety and compliance in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations; and to ensure the products adhere to established standards of strength, quality, and endurance.

Education/Status Requirements

High school diploma or GED

• Inventory processing and product sortation
• Good math aptitude

• Sound decision-making skills
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge/exposure to SAP (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements

At least 1 year of warehouse experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Essential Functions & Duties

• Visual and mechanical inspection of both professional, personal appliance units, kitchen appliances & cookware using test equipment & specifications
• Visual inspection and verification on system of various data (Master Bar Code, UPC, Weight, Cube and Pack size) of units, gift boxes, and master cartons
• Data entry of a Defective Material Report (DMR)
• Complete necessary paperwork on each lot or unit inspected
• Read and interpret product specifications
• Use of various test equipment
• Special projects as directed by the QC Supervisor or lead person

Physical Requirements

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the associate  must have the ability to perform physical activities such as standing for prolonged periods of time, bending for prolonged periods of time, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively; be in good physical condition; and have good eye/hand coordination and motor skills.

Working Conditions

This job operates in an office and in the warehouse. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regular workdays for this position are Monday through Friday. Occasionally, responsibilities may require additional daytime/evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
