Job Description:

The Director of Analytics & Insights will lead our data-driven efforts to provide valuable consumer and market insights to various internal and external stakeholders. This role is essential in guiding strategic decisions and optimizing the performance of our marketing and go-to-market plan, as well as the performance of our products in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Director of Analytics & Insights at Cuisinart, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and lead Cuisinart’s Analytics & Insights function, infusing and enabling a “consumer-driven” approach across the brand, from product development to marketing plan activation to in-market performance tracking.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to build the brand in consumer’s mind and retail environment by analyzing data from platforms like IRI, Nielsen, NPD (both syndicated and consumer), DOMO, JDA (ProSpace), and other relevant systems (guide go-to-market plans, assess e.g., share, shelf, promotion, distribution, in-market performance of new product launches, etc.).
  • Lead Category Management team for Cuisinart, developing strategies by key retail accounts for assortment, space gain and shelf schematics to ensure the highest level of brand visibility. Conduct tracking and product movement analysis using internal shipment information, syndicated data, and account point of sale (POS) data to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead generation and analysis of Consumer & Shopper Insights to shape and inform decisions in the scope of new product development, consumer ideas, brand communication development, packaging, creative assets qualification as well as marketing and media mix optimization, leveraging either standard or ad hoc surveys, as well as social listening.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Marketing and Sales on new product development insights, marketing and communication development, and new item introductions and tracking, as well as other activities to drive business growth.
  • Lead data and reporting standardization across Cuisinart. Assist in database maintenance and development to help the organization acquire accurate data faster, ensuring the availability of critical information for decision-making.

Competencies/Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies and meet the requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills, with solid technical knowledge of main syndicated data platforms as well as key consumer research methodologies and vendors.
  • Comfortable and seasoned in crafting actionable and compelling insights and stories from large sets of data. Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, with a track record of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working with product development and marketing teams to define tailored learning and validation plans for new products and new creative assets.
  • Strong strategic thinking. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively convey complex data and insights to internal and external partners.
  • Ability to incorporate company and customer objectives and strategies into highly actionable, analysis-based recommended courses of action.
  • Track record of managing, coaching, and developing teams. Ability to educate, mentor, and transfer knowledge and skills to others in the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of Consumer, Shopper Insights, Shopper Behavior and/or Category Management Experience required.
  • Experience working in consumer product goods preferred.
  • Experience working with a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI) account required.
  • Experience working with both qualitative (e.g., Focus Groups, Social Listening) and quantitative consumer research methodologies (e.g., Brand Health Tracker, Consumer / Shopper Behavior Data, Household Panel data).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
