Position Summary:

This is a remote role based in Connecticut.  There is frequent travel to Stamford, CT and Torrington, CT.

We are looking for a detail-oriented service coordinator to manage our service department and handle customer service interactions, reports, and repairs. Responsibilities include providing the highest level of customer service, developing lasting customer relationships, and managing the service team members. This person will maintain a strong working knowledge of all the company's products and services.

To be successful, you should display a strong sales-minded attitude as well as excellent leadership skills. You should also be able to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and third-party vendors while always being the liaison between the activity in the field and the internal engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate service associate, service center, or general field needs using proper leadership techniques and proven problem-solving methods
  • Manage all external service providers
  • Review yearly contracts and scorecards with your manager as needed to be able to maximize profitability
  • Monitor top tier customer problems to ensure a high level of response time and proper problem resolutions
  • Report solutions to engineering for their design and continuous improvement
  • Understand how to make changes to the company knowledge base to anticipate the needs of your team

 

  • Essential Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree in business, administration, or related field.
    • Previous sales and management experience may be advantageous.
    • Must be comfortable being on the service floor and on your feet for six to seven hours per day while monitoring service Associate's
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or less in order to properly serve customers if required
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PPT
    • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a strong leader, overseeing an entire department of up to five employees
    • Set reportable metrics to measure and maintain performance and health of the company's service department
    • Must be an excellent communicator and speaker both online in written interactions, and face-to-face customer service interactions

  • Team player, works well as part of a team and with cross functional managers to achieve goals.
  • Skilled in Negotiation, Budgeting, Business Planning, Operations Management.
  • Advanced studies in Electronics I, II, III focused in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.a plus

 

 

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically for business (30% if needed). We have service centers in 38 states.
