JOB TITLE:HAND PACKER - PACKOUT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Keep packers supplied with components. Finish or Repack Conair product to meet customer requirements
FUNCTIONS
Ensure each station is adequately supplied with components (boxes, units, inserts, etc.) in order for packers to pack
Stack finished master cartons on skids
Move skids from area until warehouseperson can place skid into the proper location
Repack product to conform to customer specifications (i.e., case pack, addition of product, etc.)
Affix labels to product unit cartons (i.e., UPC, Los Angeles approved labels, etc.)
Repackage product into new design unit carton
Repackage sellable returned units or damaged unit carton product into new unit cartons
Package bulk units and components into unit cartons
Remark shipping cartons with correct information
Repair units due to manufacturing errors (i.e., leaking bottle caps, remove outdated information, etc.)
Perform general housekeeping duties as required
Follow established safety rules and regulations
EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED equivalent
TRAINING
None required – will train as job progresses
KNOWLEDGE
Packaging or assembly work
SKILLS
Understand and follow explicit instructions
Speak English, Read English, and Write English
EXPERIENCE
1 year preferred packaging or assembly line work
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting, bending, stooping, pivoting, reaching, sitting, speaking, hearing, standing, walking, seeing, carrying, squatting, balance, pivoting, reading, writing
PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES
Able to lift 20 to 50 pound boxes repetitively
Standing for prolonged periods of time
Extensive use of hands
