Job Title: Kids Ministry Associate
Ministry/Department: Eleven22 Kids
Reports to: Kids Minister
Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Supervisory Role: No
Objective
The Kids Ministry Associate is responsible for supporting the Eleven22 Kids Ministry at a specific campus by equipping and developing serve staff to execute Eleven22 Kids service gatherings and partnering with parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their kids.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in the recruitment, coaching, equipping and care of serve staff
- Execute weekend services
- Build a community and create a sense of belonging for serve staff
- Support in planning and executing children’s ministry events
- Control inventory of supplies and other needs in ministry area at specific campus
- Partner with parents in raising their children to know Jesus and make Him known
- Lead and develop staff, apprentices, serve staff teams and serve staff leaders
- Model discipleship by being a disciple-making disciple
- Communicate clear vision and wins for staff and serve staff teams on a regular basis
- Oversee systems for background checks, safety and security procedures, training and care of serve staff
- Provide staff and serve staff with current children’s ministry best practices
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience working with children in some/multiple settings
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary based on church need.
The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This role would require long periods of being on your feet and walking, as well as occasional times when light lifting would be required.
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
