Objective
The Childcare Ministry Associate supports and leads alongside the Eleven22 Kids Minister at the campus by equipping and developing serve staff and childcare staff to execute Eleven22 Kids service gatherings and special events, while partnering with parents as the primary disciple-makers of their children.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for staff childcare, supporting operations, curriculum, staffing and care for Eleven22 staff children, ages six weeks to four years old
- Collaborate weekly with the Eleven22 Kids Minister to support team placement and room assignments for services
- Lead in the recruitment, coaching and equipping of special event childcare serve staff
- Train and assist Childcare team members with timesheet needs, including clocking in and out and addressing missed punches, in coordination with leadership
- Participate in the discipleship and development of Childcare team members through 1:1s, team gatherings and intentional encouragement
- Support and help maintain cleanliness and organization of the campus childcare space during and after childcare hours
- Support adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the Childcare Staff Manual and escalate concerns through the appropriate coaching and discipline channels
- Assist Kids Minister with ordering huddle snacks, preschool snacks and any other supplies or materials needed for Eleven22 Kids curriculum and keeping inventory and organization of supplies
- Maintain regular communication and relational check-ins with serve staff
- Attend weekly campus meetings
- Assist the Childcare Manager with tracking and supporting budget needs for staff childcare
- Assist Childcare Manager in scheduling Childcare team for services and events across all campuses.
- Support the Childcare Manager in the screening, interviewing and onboarding process for new Childcare team members
- Collaborate with other ministries within the church to provide childcare for various events
- Support the onboarding and training of new Childcare team members at the campus, including ensuring appropriate shadowing during initial services or events

Education and Experience
- Associates degree preferred
- Experience working with children in multiple settings
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Work Hours Expectations: 40 hours or more.
Schedule Expectations: Days and hours of work are typically Sunday through Thursday, with worship services held on Sunday and Thursday. On-campus childcare each Monday evening from 5-9pm, weekday childcare for staff each Wednesday from 8:30am-4:30pm pm at the San Pablo location, church blackout dates and other times, as needed for events with childcare staff.
The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This role operates in a campus-based ministry environment, including classrooms, worship spaces and office settings. The position requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings and weekends as needed for services and events. The role involves standing, walking, bending, lifting children and supplies up to 25 pounds, as well as maintaining active engagement with children, families, serve staff and childcare team members. Occasional movement between campus spaces and meetings is expected. Some travel between campuses may be required.
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
