Because CJ Logistics loves collaboration and a team environment, this is not a remote position. This role is located at our Corporate Office in Des Plaines, IL, and requires that candidates must live within a commutable distance of the corporate office.
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist works collaboratively with associates in our network of logistics centers to manage the processing and payment of the company’s payables. The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide support to our field finance team as well as build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external parties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Code and input invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Act as a liaison between corporate and field accounting teams.
- Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have 2 years of Accounts Payable experience with strong math skills and the ability to analyze data.
- High school diploma required; Associate Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Word and Excel.
