    Senior Dispatcher, Transportation - Somerset, NJ

    The Opportunity

    Are you ready to drive change, lead with impact? We’re looking for a Senior Dispatcher who thrives on orchestrating smooth deliveries, eliminating roadblocks, and keeping operations rolling with precision and purpose. This isn't just about 

    What You’ll Do (Your Route to Success)

    As a Senior Dispatcher, you will be the "air traffic control" for our fleet operations, ensuring every shipment is optimized and every driver is supported.
    • Lead and manage drivers across your assigned region—hiring, mentoring, and making key performance decisions.
    • Leverage tech, TMS systems, and strategic thinking to optimize shipments, consolidate routes, and reduce costs.
    • Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to schedule and communicate deliveries—on time, every time.
    • Troubleshoot issues in real-time (traffic, weather, breakdowns) and implement smart, swift solutions.
    • Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and create reports that inform and improve operations.
    • Ensure DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulation compliance every mile of the way.
    • Be available when needed—because freight doesn’t always stick to a 9–5.

    What You Bring:

    • Experience: 5+ years in transportation or fleet operations.
    • Education: High school diploma or GED (equivalent experience considered).
    • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and TMS platforms.
    • Soft Skills: Strong team leadership, relationship-building, and critical thinking chops.
    • Local Insight: Strong knowledge of local logistics and routing best practices.
    The "Bonus" Points:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
    • Hands-on experience with Samsara ELD systems.
    • CDL Class A License Preferred 

    The Physical & Office Environment:

    • This is primarily a desk-based role with standard office equipment.
    • You’ll spend most of your day seated, talking, typing, and thinking.
    • Occasionally, you might lift up to 10 pounds or need to pivot quickly in response to challenges.

    • Salary Range: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $70,000, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
