Position Overview:      
      
The Accounts Payable Analyst position will be situated within the growing asset-based and brokerage transportation departments of CJ Logistics. This role requires a high level of analytical skills that can evaluate, analyze, and report on critical correlations between payables and operating KPIs that support operations’ strategies and also develop corrective action to ensure the achievement of organizational targets.
   
This position is not remote.  Candidates must live within a commutable distance.
 Salary Range - $50.160-$62,700 
       
      
       
Essential Duties & Responsibilities      
  • Provide integral support and details during monthly close on expense accruals, financial analysis, and summaries for transportation operating leaders as requested.
  • Contribute analytics to the asset and brokerage transportation operations by accurately processing vendor invoices, reviewing vendor statements and inquiries, spending analysis, and reconciliation, and sourcing out any areas for improvement.
  • Provides valuable insight and analytics on trends and provides routine and ad hoc expense reporting to determine cost-saving opportunities.
  • Creates and presents analyses/reports concisely and insightfully to management.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other analysts, finance leadership, accounting partners, and business operations partners.
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
  • Designs and implements financial controls to ensure the achievement of financial goals, meet compliance standards, and support audit requests.
  • Assist with forecast, budgeting, and variance reporting as needed.
  • Continually seeks to improve processes, drive change where needed, make recommendations to leadership, and follow through to completion.

Requirements and Qualifications      
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting, Finance, Math, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or equivalent experience in financial analysis Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and BI experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of working with a TMS system is preferred.
  • SAP, JDE, and Insight experience preferred
