Description

Chief Buildings is seeking a Building Cost Estimator to join the Chief team. Building Cost Estimators process quote requests and provide costs to the customer in a timely manner. They are responsible for confirming all products to be supplied by Chief. Successful Building Cost Estimators have gone on to other positions within Chief Buildings, such as Project Manager, Estimating Manager, Project Designer, Design Engineer, Buyer, Marketing Manager, Inside Sales Manager, Technical Services Manager, District Sales Manager, and President.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process building estimates and components in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintain quote backlog, work at fast pace, and help others when possible
• Read Architectural plan and specifications
• Review customer sketches verses quote request form and question/clarify any variances that may occur
• Create special pricing for conditions that are not covered by our standard pricing programs
• Assist Builders or District Managers with preliminary project layout to lead them towards the most economical and efficient design
  

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred. Candidates with equivalent experience in related fields will also receive consideration.
• Metal building experience preferred, however entry-level candidates who meet education preferences listed will receive consideration.
