Description

Chief Agri is seeking a Scheduler to join the Chief team. This position schedules production and expedites the flow of materials for assigned products through manufacturing processes to ensure scheduled delivery dates are met.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prepare documents needed for production. Issue shop orders and maintain inventory level of standard parts.
  • Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
  • Create production schedule and prioritize shop orders for production optimization.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
  • Communicate production status to managers on a regular basis.
  • Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Interact with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Operations Manager.
  • Good customer service/communication skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of duties to prioritize tasks with strict deadlines through personal time management skills.
  • Continuously maintain a positive attitude related to production capacity and with all involved individuals and departments.

Education:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Advanced computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office products required.
  • Experience using an ERP system preferred.
  • On the job or related experience of 1-3 years preferred; willing to train a candidate with strong attention to detail orientation, logic and reasoning skills; the ability to be flexible, multi-task, and prioritize; and willingness to take initiative.
