What You’ll Do:
The Data Architect will lead the design and evolution of Century's enterprise data and integration architecture. This role is responsible for defining the vision for the data ecosystem, guiding the technical roadmap, and ensuring a scalable, flexible, and secure data platform. In addition to strategy, the Data Architect will be hands-on in implementing new architectural patterns and collaborating closely with developers to embed best practices in data modeling, pipeline design, and platform capabilities. This position also serves as a critical liaison between the data team and IT Operations, ensuring continuity, performance, and alignment between infrastructure and data platform needs. Remote position.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Define and lead the adoption of the future-state architecture for the Century data platform, including integration, storage, modeling, and analytics layers.
- Develop and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks to guide development and modernization efforts.
- Work directly with data engineers and analysts to implement robust, maintainable solutions that follow architectural guidelines.
- Partner with IT Operations to plan and support the Azure platform and roadmap related to data workloads
- Act as subject matter expert on Azure data services, including Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric Lakehouse, Event Grid, Function Apps, Fabric, etc.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into architectural and technical requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools or platforms to enhance data ecosystem capabilities.
- Support troubleshooting of complex data platform issues in partnership with developers and operations.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services and enterprise data architecture principles.
Your Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent level of work-related experience.
- 8+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
- Experience implementing and governing modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse, medallion, ELT pipelines).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure data services, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and data governance frameworks.
