The Field Sales Executive reports to the National Sales Director in the CARFAX Banking & Insurance Group and is primarily responsible for selling to commercial and personal lines accounts within the property & casualty insurance market.

 Job Function:

  • Recruit property & casualty insurance companies to use CARFAX vehicle history and vehicle characteristics data in their rating & underwriting processes.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to prospective companies.
  • Coordinate the testing of CARFAX data for potential use in production.
  • Negotiate business terms for data licensing agreements.
  • Onboard & train new insurance companies.
  • Assist Account Managers in expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • Record all sales activities and client information in our CRM software.
  • Travel (25% - 30% - within Covid parameters and guidelines) is expected for:
    • Building rapport with companies in Midwestern and Western US territory
    • Attending industry trade shows and conferences
    • Participation in on-site internal meetings


  • Minimum 3-5 years B2B sales experience within the P&C industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of both commercial and personal auto disciplines.
  • Analytical skills for presenting complex data solutions.
  • Self-starter who thrives when working independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Formal sales training with award-winning performances.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory with convenient airport access.
