Job Summary 
The Vice President of National Wholesale is responsible for leading Ayr’s rapidly growing portfolio of brands at a national level. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Business Development Officer, this individual will lead and grow our wholesale sales in 3rd party dispensaries across AYR’s current and future wholesale markets.  We are looking for a sales-oriented leader that can build strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure a culture of collaboration and mutual success.  Direct reports include the five State Wholesale Managers, and the Manager of National Key Accounts & Wholesale Programming. 
This position works with the state general managers and operations/logistics teams across the country, along with the national and regional marketing teams to meet our financial forecast and obtain year over year growth.   
 
Duties and Responsibilities  
  • Lead and manage National Wholesale to ensure 100% alignment on strategic goals.
  • Motivate sales teams to meet or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, budgeting process for each market
  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in sales organizational planning
  • Coordinate planning activities between operations and sales on a national and regional level
  • Provide regular updates on the status of our wholesale business at a national level.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with all key vertical operators on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure reciprocal success.
  • Understand category-specific landscape and trends based on National and Local Market Data.
  • Use data from internal and external sources to competitively create pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Work with national and regional-level marketing team and sales to develop promotional plans, new product launches, advertising programs, and educational initiatives to drive sales with customers.
  • Take part in the new product development process along with other senior leaders.
  • Work with the mergers and acquisitions team to assess opportunities for expansion at the national, regional, and state level.
  • Represent Ayr at industry events to expand key customer base and supplier network.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.

Qualifications 
  • A strong track record in Cannabis B2B sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10-15 years’ experience in B2B wholesale sales and management.
  • Proven results with achieving growth and building customer relationships.
  • Track record in utilization of data-driven insights for informed and strategic decision making.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent people and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Dutchie and/or Microsoft BI preferred.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to changing trends and priorities.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the cannabis industry preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Always demonstrates high ethical and professional standards.
  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity and behaviors in accordance with the company vision, mission, policies, and procedures.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Must have own auto, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Must meet the age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies.
  • Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.
  • Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies.
Education  
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Equivalent combination of work/education experience accepted.
