Job Summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for service, repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration & foodservice equipment. Additional responsibilities include minor electrical, plumbing, and facility repair as needed. The position requires HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing experience including EPA Universal certification in. Experience in foodservice equipment repair is preferable.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation
  • Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians
  • Use experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements
  • Advise manager of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as required

Qualifications

·           Valid driver’s license is required.

·           Must be 21 years of age or older.

·           Able to pass all background checks.

·           Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry.

·           Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • EPA Universal Certification

Experience

  • 3-5 years of HVAC Experience

Working conditions

  • The person in this position may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
  • Must be able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekend and some holidays. On-Call availability outside of usual business hours is required. 
  • Occasionally works in outside conditions that include exposure to inclement weather, heat and humidity.
