Job Summary

The Facilities Supervisor will report to the Facilities Manager and facilitate the maintenance of our world-class facility. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for performing a wide variety of routine repair and preventative maintenance tasks required to keep our Production buildings, facilities equipment and retail locations operating properly, safely and efficiently.  AYR Wellness is dedicated to becoming the foremost provider of sustainably grown premium cannabis products to our communities.  Grown with Love.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of facilities personnel to maintain our immaculate facility operation.
  • Strike a balance between leading and performing hands-on work within a team environment.
  • Schedule, assign and perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / ventilating, roofing and security.
  • Monitor landscaping, janitorial, housekeeping and security performance and cleanliness.
  • Perform routine maintenance and work on minor building and alteration projects.
  • Patch and repair drywall and furniture. Install interior artwork.
  • Install and reconfigure modular workstations.
  • Inspect and test fire protection and generator systems.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
  • Maintain a variety of records and prepare reports for management review.
  • Make decisions when the Facilities Manager is absent or away

Qualifications

  • Experience working with MEP, landscaping, HVAC, UPS and electrical systems.
  • Must be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work.
  • Experience supervising maintenance personnel.
  • Background in working with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Some weekend and evening work required.
  • Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
  • Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies
  • Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous facilities experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of work/education experience accepted

Experience

  • 1-3 years
  • Previous facilities experience in a warehouse environment preferred.

Working conditions

This person may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree. This person will be traveling between dispensaries and manufacturing facilities within AYR Wellness.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to constantly position self throughout task at hand.
  • Constantly operates hand tools, safety and other equipment including office machinery.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service various equipment.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about the inside and outside of buildings.
  • Must be able to inspect equipment and recognize potential problems.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with staff, visitors, and vendors regarding maintenance issues. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Frequently lifts, loads, unloads, moves, positions, and transports items up to 50 pounds.
